The Detroit Ruby Ruby Meetup was lots of fun. The group was smaller, but the venue was great. Rather than a more formal presentation in a larger hall, it was more like sitting in a family room visiting with friends. Fortunately, the host had a DV-to-VGA adapter for the projector (I forgot mine), so I was able to use my slides and demo as a jumping-off point for our discussion. There was a lot of discussion, so the 90-minute presentation stretched into almost four hours of visiting (with refreshments available throughout). I think that the discussion of Smalltalk helped them understand Ruby better and I learned more about how Ruby is used.
On Thursday, the tour winds up in Cincinnati. If you are in the area, do stop in!
